LILA’s STORY

Hello and welcome. I’m Lila Danis a wellness coach and group facilitator. I come to this work after overcoming many years of significant illness that left me bed-bound. Traditional healing modalities (such as mindfulness, meditation, plant medicine and Reiki) supported me in regaining my health and quality of life. I combine my lived experience with scientifically supported trainings to teach others techniques and skills they can use to help expand their nervous systems capacity and support their health and wellness.

My journey with illness taught me the deep importance of compassion - toward others, but especially toward ourselves. With training in psychology, neuroscience, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and many moments of real vulnerability, I’ve come to believe healing happens when we are held in kindness and honesty.

Today, I support International Clients who feel a desire to shift their experience—by increasing their capacity for, and intentionally with, life as it unfolds.

I bring curiosity, compassion, and steadiness into our work, drawing on both professional training and lived experience. Together, we uncover what’s beneath the surface and build tools for calm, clarity, and self-trust.

Whether you are someone experiencing a challenging time or simply looking to expand the resources in your self-care routine, I have supported many individuals of a variety of ages and lived experiences.

Lila is an amazing facilitator who blends theory with practice seamlessly. Her authenticity is evident in every practice, as is her engagement with participants. I’m so very grateful for this experience and would not hesitate in recommending it to others.

Mindfulness, meditation, and gentle healing practices became not just survival tools, but lifelines.

Those experiences shaped me. They taught me that real growth isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about creating spaces where we can breathe, feel, and trust ourselves again. That’s why I do this work now, to walk alongside others who are seeking steadiness and clarity in times of uncertainty.

Healing isn’t always about handling stress better. Often it is also about having more capacity for joy, presence and slowing down.

I believe that different people connect with different practices and healing tools and these may change from day-to-day. We can create an environment to explore what aligns most with an individual as we are all unique and continuously evolving.

A Little About LILA

Outside of Grow Kind Mind, I find joy in nature and rock climbing, but especially in the small things; bird watching with my cats, a hot cup of herbal tea, and catching up with friends. I laugh easily, love listening to stories, and have a soft spot for animals. The simple rhythms remind me daily that healing isn’t just about big moments, but about finding nourishment and joy in everyday experiences.
